Unknown to us, the folks over at ToyCon UK put together a competition where the winner would win the opportunity to translate their design into 3D on the massive new "War Tourist" figure, designed by Run DMB and sculpted by Planet Domu... well, they had a ton of entries, and the winner ended up being Lisa Rae Hanson of I Break Toys with her winning design that you see above titled ‘End Zone’!!! Her winning design will be on display at ToyCon UK alongside a second giant War Tourist which has been customized by none other than Jon Paul Kaiser. Both pieces will also be for sale at the event and we’re sure they’ll be a superb sight to behold.
The design team wanted to give an honorable mention to Yoko by Darren Clegg and Thiesko’s entry, unfortunately Thiesko is from Holland so was ineligible, but they still loved his design none the less! It really does appear that this is a fun platform to design on, and these artists really did a great job utilizing the entire surface. What will "War Tourist" turn into next?!?!
