We previously announced that DrilOne would be taking part of a three person solo show at Stranger Factory opening in February, and now we have a wonderful teaser of the massive electrical sign Dril created to announce his show's title: Empty World. While this obviously doubles as a the signage for the show, it is also an actual piece of art as well… just look at the craftsmanship in creating this marvelous sign! I love that the arrow and the end hangs like it was snapped off, hinged to the whole; an element, of course, that might only be due to the work-in-progress nature of the piece, but that I quite adore as is.
"Empty World" is a solo exhibit set to premiere in February 2013 at Stranger Factory, 109 Carlisle Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87106.
