j.shea has a pair of incredible mixed media sculptures in Gallery Nucleus's newest group art exhibition, The Animal Kingdom, on now until March 3rd. Titled Panther (above) and King, the pieces are curious assemblages of discarded relics and repurposed materials, fused with figures crafted from either wood or clay. The over-sized tangled wire wings really do it for me. Panther measures 7" x 16" x 12" and is available for $350, while King measures 10" x 19" x 12" and is available for $500.
