A while back,
we teased that the talented
TADO where working with fellow Sheffield woodcarver
Nick Hunter to produce extremely limited edition, hand-carved wooden designer toys. The first release in a new series of wood figures within a single narrative, this 6.5-inch tall "Panda Otaku Vol. 1 'Au Naturel' Edition" figure comes with 2 cameras (random inclusion of Polaroid, Leica, Rolleiflex or SLR versions) as well as a miniature 'Gentlemen's comic/magazine.' Since they are completely hand-carved, each figure is different, though they are all finished with a coat of protective beeswax and come packaged in a spectacular laser-etched comic shop display box (see below for full turnaround of the box). TADO's online shop afterwards. And while I'm sure you're fretting paying hundreds upon hundreds of dollars for one of these superb pieces, I'm happy to tell you that they will only be £80 (approx. $121) each!
