Today, Philadelphia's 30th St. Station, had a new visitor among the hustle and bustle of daily commutes... perched at the west end of the interior is a 16-foot tall sculpture with its head hanging in its hands. With X's on it's eyes, hands, and feet, the artist behind the massive fiberglass and metal... is obviously KAWS! This sculpture known as "Companion (Passing Through)" was first seen in Hong Kong, then New York, The Aldrich Museum in Ridgefield, CT, The High Museum, Atlanta, and The Modern, Fort Worth, and now he sits quietly at 30th St. Station until May 14th, 2013... and check out the cool video above that the folks over at Living Proof Magazine put together... RAD! Now, I am not that big of a fan of the work that KAWS usually produces, but I can appreciate the large scale of this piece. If you are in or around the Philly area, be sure to swing by to see this in person!
