We've been treated to a sneak peek of the previously announced and upcoming "Strange Symbiosis" four-person group show at Giant Robot, in the form of pictures of several of Leecifer's absolutely stunning contributions. Not only did he obviously play with his own designed platforms, like the resin Pickle Baby and Super7 produced sofubi Honoo, but he gave his own unique dry brush touch to some of this show mates work, like Scott Tolleson's Dead Beet. Though, from what I can see here, I think my favorite might be the strange mash-up of the Honoo and Brian Flynn's Visighost, which is easy to overlook in a group shot below. A truly masterful collection of customs!
The "Strange Symbiosis" exhibition of works by Scott Tolleson, Leecifer, J★RYU, and Aaron Brown opens on May 4th with a reception from 6:30-10PM Pacific time and runs through May 22nd, 2013 at GR2, 2062 Sawtelle Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90025.
