We here at SpankyStokes are HUGE fans of
Scott Hove's work... and to hear that
Spoke Art will be hosting him in an upcoming solo show titled "
Guns and Ecstasy", we were ecstatic! Known for his ferocious cake and taxidermy inspired mixed media sculptures, Hove has created a new body of work focusing on assault weapons... and damn do they look so dangerously delicious! This show will feature other works from Scott as well, including the debut of the "A Pentagonal Disco Infinity Chamber", a transportable installation piece which brings an immersive slice of the artist's Cakeland studio to San Francisco. If you are in the bay area... this show is a must!!! "Guns and Ecstasy" opens this Thursday, May 2nd with an opening reception from 6pm - 10pm. The artist will be in attendance and complimentary refreshments will be served. The show will be on view through Saturday, May 25th... don't miss it!
