Does Wheelhouse's Rivals figures remind you of Squadts too?

Clik here to view.While I know there is nothing new under the sun, I just can't look at James Hugo & Chase Layman's new figures — collectively called Rivals, indicating their two warring species — without thinking of the Squadt line. They're obviously not rip-offs of the Squadt, but it seems like Hugo & Layman were heavily influenced by Steampunk and Squadts equally. Regardless, these two figures are AMAZING looking: great detail work, solid concepts, wonderful accessories. The figures are Theodore P. Stevedore of the Cog race (above left) and Algernon ChiffChaff of the Nautilus species (above right), with either one costing you $40 or $75 for the pair in Layman's current Kickstarter campaign to produce these pieces in vinyl.
