Chris "alto" Dobson is preparing to open his first solo show, entitled "Unfold," at the Little Ox Gallery in Edinburgh, Scotland, on December 13th, 2012. While the majority of the show will be a series of giclée digital prints, he'll also being publicly unveiling two original resin toys: the previously announced "Evil Origami," produced in collaboration with DMS, and "Little Ox," produced in conjunction with Creo Design. The "Evil Origami" figure will be presented as a mini group custom show within the solo show, as ten Scottish-based artists provide their own unique take on the piece: ranging from established names in the toy world, such as Lisa Rae Hansen and Conzo, through to famed Glaswegian street-artist Klingatron, graphic design studios Effektive and Berg and illustrators Daniel Seex, Badatmath, Robbie Porter, Verity Keniger and The Lindstrom Effect.
Above are but two of the ten prints that will be available, each in an edition of 50 copies. For those unable to make the show, the prints are now available for pre-order in the alto web store for £15 (approx. $19.50) each, or at the special pre-show exclusive rate of all 10 prints as a £100 (approx. $128) set.
